Quarter-end and year-end on UKG Pro, without the surprises

Most year-end problems are cycle problems found late. A clean record every cycle makes quarter-end reconciliation a confirmation, not an investigation.

A clean record every cycle makes quarter-end a confirmation.

Tax liability and collections reconciled by company and code.

W-2 and T4 issues found during the year, not in January.

Quarter-end on UKG Pro means reconciling tax liability with what was collected and filed, by company and tax code, and explaining every variance. Year-end adds W-2s in the United States or T4s in Canada, and every correction made during the year has to be accounted for.

PCLnXAI helps in two ways. Every cycle closes with a complete record, so fewer issues reach quarter-end. And quarter-end reconciliation itself can be run against UKG Pro's own tax reports, company by company, with each variance traced.

Quarter-end tax reconciliation

Quarterly tax reports compare taxable wages, liability, and amounts collected by company and tax code. The system reads these reports, ties each company to its printed totals, and lists the codes where liability and collections differ, with the cycles and employees that drive each difference. See quarterly tax variance reconciliation and payroll tax reconciliation.

Year-end readiness

  • Employees with prior-period adjustments that change their annual totals.
  • Earnings or deductions mapped to codes with the wrong tax treatment during the year.
  • Manual changes made directly in UKG Pro that were never reconciled.
  • Leavers with final pay or payouts posted after their last expected cycle.

One record from cycle to year

Because each cycle's inputs, corrections, and approvals are recorded, a year-end question about an employee's total can be answered by reading the cycles that built it. See the audit trail.

How PCLnXAI handles quarter-end

Quarter-end reconciliation runs in your environment against the reports your team already receives from UKG Pro. Findings go to your team with the evidence; filing and amendments stay with your payroll tax process.

Frequently asked questions

Do you file payroll taxes?

No. Tax filing stays with UKG Pro and your payroll tax team. We help reconcile and explain the numbers before and after filing.

Does this cover Canada as well as the US?

The approach applies to both. Year-end forms differ, W-2 in the US and T4 in Canada, and checks are configured for the jurisdictions you run.

Can it read UKG Pro's quarterly reports?

Yes, including reports delivered as PDFs, which are parsed and tied back to their printed totals.

When should we start?

Any cycle. The earlier in the year the cycle record starts, the more of year-end it covers.
